Elevating Lollapalooza’s electric spirit year after year, capturing its evolution from a festival to a cultural movement.

Lollapalooza is a four-day music and culture festival held annually in Chicago’s Grant Park. Born from the alternative scene of the early 90’s, the festival has evolved into a global celebration of eclectic sound, community, and art blended with activism. Over four memorable days each summer, Lolla turns downtown Chicago into a sensory playground where new and local artists rise, legends return, and culture itself becomes energy. It is a reflection of the city’s creative soul and the ever-changing sound of music. Lollapalooza transformed itself into more than a festival; it’s evolved into a movement.
Puncture teamed up with Lollapalooza to amplify its visual energy and reimagine how the festival lives within digital and print landscapes. Building on its iconic identity, we crafted a bold, cohesive system that channels Lolla’s electric spirit and legacy. From the bold nuances of motion graphics, the functional cadence of schedules and maps, to the storytelling element of social assets, our work translates the rush of the festival into an experience that encapsulates the Lolla spirit. Loud, colourful, and unapologetically alive.
